SA’s queen of Gqom Babes Wodumo turned 27 yesterday. She celebrated her birthday in true Durban style at the Eyadini Lounge but what became the center of attention was not her birthday but the noticeable bun in her oven.
Babes and her soon-to-be husband Mampintsha are culturally married even though they are yet to officially announced their wedding date. According to reports, Mampintsha has already sent his Uncles to the Simelane household and paid lobola.
But it was quite a surprise when fans accidentally caught a glimpse of Babes’ baby bump. She tried her best to hide it with a bouquet in most photos, but one revealed it all.
As much as social media users are happy for the performer, her past relationship with her bae is not a very good one. According to reports, Babes has suffered physical and emotional abuses at the hands of her Mampintsha, even to the point that the authorities have to intervene. Since then, the two have settled their differences, but it is obvious there is still trouble in paradise.
