Former Presidential aide, Reno Omokri has doled out a word of advice to his fans to strive to be respected by other instead of being loved.
According to Reno, respect is held above most virtues since you can be very angry at someone but due to the respect you have for the person, you will learn to let go and submit.
Reno made his statement in a post sighted on his Instagram page. His assertion sparked some mixed reactions from fans as they trooped under the comment section.
He wrote: Being liked is overrated. You don’t need people to like you. You need them to respect you. You may like your gateman, but you will never obey him. You may dislike your boss, but you will never disobey him. That alone proves that respect is more useful than being liked. Wiseness is better than niceness. Wisdom is a gift of the Holy Spirit. But if you read Scripture from beginning to end, you won’t see anything about being nice. You can overlook a debt if the debtor cannot pay, but never overlook disrespect. The day you overlook disrespect, is the day you begin to lose relevance!

kennethazeza: Thank you dear Sir. How can one bring such a message across without being mistaken as proud? I find myself in this debacle at the moment. The fact that I did not accept being disrespected is being viewed as pride and a high handed husband and father.
