Popular Nigerian social media icon and sensation, Ramon Abbas, widely known as Hushpuppi has been sentenced to eleven-years imprisonment by a court in the United States of America.

Hushpuppi earned his sentence over the charges of fraud and money laundering, He was given his verdict by the United States Central District Court in California.

This comes after Hushpuppi was detained in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, in June 2020 as a result of an elaborate fraud scheme that defrauded individuals in the United States, Qatar, the United Kingdom, and other countries of their money.

He was transferred to the United States of America where he was charged with fraud and money laundering. He, however, pleaded guilty to the charges leveled against him in the US court.

Hushpuppi in the course of the proceedings pleaded with the judge of the US Central District Court, Judge Wright Otis to temper justice with mercy as he had a high score in cleaning activities his time in prison before his sentence.

Well, he has been sentenced to eleven years imprison by the US court. However, since he has already spent two years in prison, he will be continuing with the remaining nine years.
