Mrs. Cecilia Nwayiaka Ujubuonu, mother of Dr. Obiageli Ezekwesili, a former presidential candidate of the Allied Congress Party of Nigeria in the 2019 election and ex-Minister of Education has died.
On Sunday night, she reportedly died of cancer-related complications in Abuja.
Ozioma Ubabukoh, spokesperson of Ezekwesili said Cecilia died at the age of 78.

Before her death, she was a member of the Redeemed Christian Church of God.
Originally from the village of Ndodolu, Umunuko, Ukpor, in Nnewi South Local Government Area of Anambra state, she became a widow after her husband Benjamin Uyubuonu died in 1988.
Uyubuonu was born on April 18, 1942, a retired businesswoman, who dedicated her life to children, grandchildren, to the church and to the service of humanity.
