Nollywood actor and presidential aspirant, Yul Edochie has warned his fans and Christians in general to save themselves from the grip of churches.
In a post on his Instagram page, Yul Edochie pointed out that churches are now running it as business and they are hiding that fact hence people should be advised and save themselves else they will end up giving all their earnings to the church.
His stance comes after Winners’ Chapel founder, Bishop Davido Oyedepo reportedly sacked 40 pastors from their church on the basis of unfruitfulness on their part.
In his words;
“Dem no dey hide am again oo… Church na business now… Brother, sister, na you go save yourself.”
We earlier reported that a pastor named Peter Godwin alleged that he and over 40 other pastors were sacked in Ekiti state for not generating enough income from their branches and another pastor called InChristed Michael also claimed in a Facebook post that he too is a “victim”.
Addressing the issue at a church service, Bishop Oyedepo explained that the pastors were fired from their post as pastors of Winners Chapel because they were blatant failures and fruitless.
He said:
“I learnt some fellow said we asked them to go because they’re not bringing income.
“We asked you to go because you’re unfruitful. Unfruitful blatant failure… doing what there?
“We have no patient with failure here.”
