They were reportedly dealing with debasement indictments and this was made known by the Free Police Investigative Directorate (IPID) representative, Ndileka Cola.

These two police officers are attached to the Khutsong SAPS apparent policing unit, and they were on their own course when they saw somebody conveying pineapple brew.

They then captured a lady for ownership of natively constructed liquor and they supposedly requesting a R2,500 payoff, and also took the pineapple liquor and decided not to check it in at the police headquarters.

The incident occurred a year ago during the lockdown and the two police officers where they tracked down the suspect with her relatives.

Cola said;

“The claim is that the cops requested R2,500 to release the complainant. The police at that point drove back to the complainant’s home where the complainant purportedly offered R2,500 to the two cops. Further to the money the police supposedly left with pineapple alcohol, of which they never reserved the alcohol or the pails in the police headquarters.”
