On Wednesday, the Cape High Court sentenced a Khayelitsha man 55 years imprisonment for the rape and murder of a four-year-old girl.
The body of Uyathandwa Stuurman’s body was found at a dumping site in July 2018 after she was lured by the accused to his shack where he raped and killed her.
Following a community search, her body was found with multiple stab wounds and her throat was slit. Jamda was known to the girl as they lived in the same area.
