Nigerian billionaire and Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote, has reportedly opened up on his expectations in Nigeria’s World Cup qualification campaign which comes off in a few weeks.

In the last three editions of the World Cup, Nigeria succeeded in qualifying to the tournament three consecutive times and hopes to make it to the competition the fourth time.

Speaking to the press, according to a report by Sunnnewsonline, Dangote talked about the importance of his country’s qualification for the World Cup and intimated that he has no business in Qatar should Nigeria fail to qualify for the World Cup.

He stated that the World Cup will bring pride to the nation and not only to me if the team qualifies.

He noted ” it is not only important to me as an individual but to the nations at large. If Nigerian wins, we will be proud.

Moreover, he added that he will have no business in Qatar if Nigeria fails to qualify.

“If Nigeria fails, I won’t go there.”

The playoff ties will be played between March 24 and 29, 2022 with actual dates and kickoff times to be confirmed by CAF.
