In other news, Ghanaian showbiz pundit and media icon, Rya Anakwa has reacted to a recent tweet made by the Kumerican rapper, Kofi Jamar

about the impact of slavery on Africans.

In a previous tweet, Kofi Jamar revealed that our ancestors were very mindful of what they were doing when they sold most of the natives into slavery during colonization.

He said that the actions of our ancestors paved way for the positive impact on Africans. He added that certain genres like the RnB, Blues, Rock and Roll, Rap Music and Hiphop wouldn’t have emerged if Africans were not sold into slavery.

Speaking in an interview on the Daybreak Hitz segment with Andy Dosty on Hitz FM, Rya Anakwa stated that the rapper’s tweet was out of ignorance, hence he should be pardoned by Ghanaians.

Rya also stated that our African race never benefited anything from slavery as the rapper claims, hence his tweet should be disregarded.

“I think we should pardon Kofi Jamar because he tweeted that out of ignorance. Our race didn’t benefit anything from slavery“, she said on the show.
