Popular Nollywood actress, Dayo Amusa has dropped her piece of mind about the reason most Nigerian youths are not making it in life.
In a post via her Instagram page, the actress disclosed that it has become a new trend for most Nigerians to have the perception that somebody owes them something and when the expectation is not met, they get bitter and angry.
She apportioned the entitlement mentality as one of the reasons most poor people would continue to remain poor.
She wrote: MONDAY REFRESH 🤍 There is a common mentality in today’s society known as the entitlement mentality. I am writing about this because I have come to understand that this mentality locks people in the prison of poverty until they decide to break out.
Many Nigerians ( both young and old) are guilty of this.
A person with an entitlement mentality is who has refused to take responsibility for him or herself. He/She believes that someone else owes him something and always expects SOMETHING for NOTHING…
This mentality is out of balance with life because he/she expects to receive something when he/she isn’t offering anything.

REASONS WHY SOMEONE WITH AN ENTITLEMENT MENTALITY WILL REMAIN POOR.

1. The entitlement mentality makes you lazy.

2. You never believes that you are the cause of your problems.

3. You don’t take part in anything productive because you believes that someone else will do it for you

4. The entitlement mentality cripples the creativity of your mind and so you never creates good value.

5. You are delusional, you have a strong belief that someone else’s wealth belongs to you, you will not do anything for yourself instead.

6. You will become disappointed when your expectations are not being met and you will refuse to rise because you will keep blaming someone else for your misfortune. You will become frustrated in life.
