NPP’s Member of Parliament for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong, has urged the Electoral Commission (EC) to go ahead and compile a new voter’s register for the upcoming 2020 Election despite several threats from the opposition NDC to the EC.

According to the lawmaker, “the news from the EC is welcoming and he together with his party welcomes it wholeheartedly without any fear.

“No one is afraid of Boakye Djan…if he plays the law will take action . . . let us see the anarchy,” Kennedy Agyapong fired.

“We will do the right thing for the country, we will go ahead with the voters’ register…the NDC is speaking as if they are in power, but they have forgotten that they are not in power…we are waiting for them to destroy this country; we are not afraid of them,” said Mr. Agyapong

He, however, aurged Ghanaians and the NPP for that matter, to work hard at retaining President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo in December.

He made a strong case on why the electorate must ensure that the President gets another 4 years to continue to better the lot of the Ghanaian people.

The NDC have recently, at a press conference, claimed the Electoral Commission was conninving with the setting government to rig the 2020 election, an allegation which was in a counter press conference by the NPP was vehemently watered down by their campaign manager Peter Mac Manu.
