Akinbiyi Abiola Ahmed, better known as Bella Shmurda, is a Nigerian artist who recently disclosed that he urged a law student to assist him study the contract for his first record deal.

Bella was still a student and unable to afford legal representation when he was previously signed to One World Global Records.

The musician claims that he asked a 300-level law student to help him read the details of his record deal, but he was unaware that the student had no idea how to manage the situation.

According to Bella Shmurda, he used to smoke marijuana with the person in school and frequently saw him dressed in the traditional black and white uniform used by law students. As a result, he decided to contact the guy.

He revealed this to Ebuka Obi-Uchendu during their conversation on the Rubbin Minds show on Channels TV.

The CashApp singer, who now runs his own label, Dagbana Republik, gave aspiring musicians the advice to always read thoroughly in any contracts they receive from record labels.

He claimed that while 2022 presents a wealth of alternatives for artists to pursue, none of them should rush to accept a contract.
