Award-winning Ghanaian rapper, Desmond Kwesi Blackmore, widely known in showbiz scenes as D Black has revealed that he has never spent an amount exceeding $16,000 to shoot a music video.

Speaking in an interview with Okay FM’s Gilbert Abeiku Aggrey Santana on the Ekwasodwodwo segment, the Black Avenue Muzik boss stated that unlike some of his colleagues who claim to have spent about $20,000 and above on just music video shootings, he has never spent such an amount in his entire music career.

D Black stated that he studied film directing in school, so he scripts most of the music videos himself, knowing the kind of content he wants to project and the quality he wants, hence his budget has never exceeded $16,000.

The entertainment business mogul also added that he can budget about $50,000 to shoot four or five music videos but never would he spend even $20,000 on just a music video.

He further stated that he wouldn’t make expenses exceeding his budget since he crafts most of his music videos himself.

In other news, award-winning Ghanaian gospel singer, Joe Mettle has narrated how some industry people used to condemn and discourage him due to his style of music when he emerged into the scene.

Speaking in an interview on Okay FM’s Ekwansodwodwo segment with Gilbert Abeiku Aggrey Santana, Joe Mettle stated people used to pass comments about his style of music, discouraging him to stop and deliver his craft in the old fashion manner.

According to him, a lot of people condemned him, saying his style of music will never penetrate the music scene, hence he needed to switch up his style to the normal Ghanaian style.

He recounted that a few years ago, he was facing harsh conditions in his life but he never gave up hope and trusted God to grant him a miracle to achieve greatness with his craft.
