"I Tried To Kill Myself Twice, I Was Really Depressed"

Tiwa savage has opined that she tried suicide on two occasions after receiving racist comments during her stay in London.

During an interview with Ebuka of BBNaija on ‘Bounce Live Radio’, she made this disclosure. She recounted being bullied as a black kid in London which led to the attempted suicide.

The mother of one also revealed that she was mocked so badly when she first visited London with her mother at the age of 10 because of her strong Nigerian accent.

She said;

“I was teased so bad. They used to call me ‘African girl’, ‘Foo foo’, ‘Your food smells’ and so on. It was terrible. It was so bad that I literally tried to kill myself two times. I was really depressed.”
