The Kumasi Metropolitan Chief Executive, Mr Osei Assibey Antwi, says the greatest legacy he wants to be remembered for in future is his plan to make the Kumasi city ‘clean and green’.

According to him, the city used to be a very nice and decent place which attracted foreign nationals from traveling in some years back but sadly lost its glory days.

Nonetheless, Assibey Antwi, says he is very determined to make to finally make the city restore its pride of being the greenest city in Africa.

“I want to be remembered for keeping Kumasi City clean and green in future when I am now more in office,’’ he told Opemsuo Radio.

‘’Creating enabling environment for big investors to come and do good business in the Kumasi City is one of the things we are pushing for the city which I know will happen,’’

‘’It’s also my wish that Kumasi gets an Airport City and thankfully President Akufo-Addo is doing his possible best to help the City have one,’’

The Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA), in 2017 launched a new strategy to drive environmental cleanliness and restore Kumasi to its pride as the Garden City of West Africa.
