J.Derobie, a passionate and young dancehall performer born Derrick Oboubie Jr., has stated that he doesn’t feel shame about being included among performers who have only had one big hit song.

“I feel that they are just expressing their opinion because in this world everyone has got their own opinions so it’s just a way of saying what they want,” he fumed.

He stated, “I don’t feel bad when they call me a one-hit song artiste and I feel they are just doing what they want to do by posting for engagement on social media”.

The “Poverty” hitmaker admitted to Amansan Krakye on Kastle FM in Cape Coast that he doesn’t care about people who post such things on social media about musicians who only have one hit song.

J.Derobie continued “It’s their work to put out such posts so it’s important and it even helps for those who have heard of us for a long time will go back and check on the artiste.

“After checking up on me they will realize that I have released a song so at the end of the day it’s good and there’s nothing bad about entertainment,” he concluded on the Kastle Entertainment Show.

MEANWHILE: Award-winning reggae-dancehall singer, J.Derobie has rubbished the assertions that he has become a lazy artiste after he got on the record label of Mr. Eazi, emPaWa.

He said on Kastle FM based in Cape Coast “Me I don’t respond when people comment on social media that I am a lazy artiste but there are times I just tell them I have heard their concerns”.

The “Ato Me So” singer claimed during an appearance on the Kastle Drive Show that individuals who disparage him as a sluggish performer and juxtapose him with Joeboy, another member of his label, are being naive.

He continued “Because they don’t know like they are more of consumers so they don’t know what goes into music processing so they just want the finished product.

“The things that go into it before the music comes out is not their concern, they think you just record the song and release it so that’s all it takes,” he clarified on the show.

“They think it’s that easy but a lot of work goes into releasing of music so they don’t have much info into such things so I don’t take what they say personal,” J.Derobie told Amansan Krakye.
