Legendary highlife artist Charles Kwadwo Fosu known popularly known as Daddy Lumba has been accused by his mentee Ofori Amponsah of taking credit for all his ideas.

Daddy Lumba and Ofori Amponsah seem to have had issues in the past as the highlife artist has called out his mentor for denying him the credit for his works.

Daddy Lumba and Ofori Amponsah worked together when Ofori was just 18 years of age. Daddy Lumba trained him and also released an album together with him titled “Wo ho Kyere”. The album however was introduced on the album as the owner while Ofori was introduced as the guest artist.

After 23 years, Ofori Amponsah has come out to claim that the album was supposed to be in his name and not Daddy Lumba’s. He also disclosed that there was no agreement whatsoever that Daddy Lumba’s name will be placed on the album.

Speaking on TV XYZ in an interview, Ofori Amponsah disclosed that it should have been his name on the album, not Daddy Lumba’s. He stated that the album was done in Germany but after he returned to Ghana, he realized the whole concept has been changed in favor of his mentor.

When asked about who made the changes, Ofori Amponsah “I don’t actually know but that was one of my episodes in my life I can say that it was a painful episode because it wasn’t supposed to be Daddy Lumba featuring Ofori Amponsah, it was supposed to Ofori Amponsah Frt Daddy Lumba”.
