In other news, sensational Nigerian Afrobeat singer, Daniel Benson, well known as BNXN formerly known in the music scene as Buju has explained the reason behind his sudden decision to change his stage name into his surname.

It would be recalled that BNXN took to his social media to reveal that he has changed his stage name from Buju to BNXN and wishes to be addressed as such.

In his most recent tweet, BNXN has explained why he took such a decision in a very short time after his emergence into the music scene.

According to the singer, he only decided to change his name simply because he wanted to avoid loosing his music works to copyright issues and other predicaments that may befall him just because of his stage name.

However, he blames no one for calling him by his former stage name because he still owns that name despite changing his name to BNXN.

He wrote; Beauty Underneath Just Understood is what Buju means , I only decided to use my surname Benson as my artiste name to avoid losing all my work to copyrights or whatsoever. Safety first but that’s still me and I can’t blame anyone for still calling me Buju. I own it.
