The chief executive officer of IPI Solutions Limited Adamu Garba has revealed that he is very happy the Federal Government has banned the operations of Twitter in the country.

His reactions comes after the Minister for Information Lai Mohammed announced that the Federal Government has taken a decision to suspend the operations of the micro blogging site in the country.

The statement reveals the suspension of the social media site will be indefinite and that persons living in Nigeria will not gain access to the site.

Adamu Garba reacting to the statement from the minister stated he’s very happy the Federal Government has been bold to take the decision of suspending the activities of the site in the country.

He stated that the decision by the FG clearly shows that “actions can not happen without consequences”. He added that Twitter has been for the past two years like an anti-Nigeria force supporting anything that goes against the government of Nigeria.

He alleged that Twitter has been the means of communicating among people who has been organizing a series of attacks in the country including the EndSARS protest that was carried out across the country in October last year.

He said Twitter played a very big role in promoting the protest which later turned violent with many people loosing their lives and many properties destroyed.

Recall Adamu Garba couple of months ago after the EndSARS protest petitioned a court in Nigeria to ban the operations of Twitter in the country, blaming the site for support the protest but his case was thrown away by the court.
