Nigerian vocalist, Timi Dakolo, has taken aim at those who use times of sorrow as an opportunity to provide advice to the bereaved.

After hearing that his colleague Davido and his fiancée Chioma had lost their 3-year-old son, Ifeanyi, in a domestic accident, the musician offered his two cents.

Ifeanyi drowned at his father’s home on Banana Island on Monday, October 31, according to reports. He was taken to Evercare Hospital in Lekki and was declared dead when he got there.

Timi Dakolo asserted in a tweet he published that people shouldn’t consider counseling bereaved individuals as their obligation. He believes that the time is incorrect and that people should learn to pray for them and follow their own paths.

He tweeted;

“It is not your job to advice a grieving person, the timing is wrong. Just pray for them ad go your way.

“You and your advice are mad”.

Several months ago, the ‘Everything Amen’ crooner had said that, the framed image of a whiteman hung in homes and churches claiming to be Jesus is not him. Timi made the observation in post he shared on his official social media account.

According to him, the framed image was of an actor and certainly not Jesus Christ. He added that, since the white man we Christians look up to isn’t the real Jesus Christ, he certainly can’t save them.

“Jesus Christ is not that white man you framed and hung on the wall. That guy is an Actor, he can’t save you,” Dakolo shared this in via his verified Twitter page.
