Ghanaian hip hop and hiplife duo, R2Bees made up of two cousins, Faisal Hakeem, aka Omar Sterling, and Rashid Mugeez, well known as Mugeez have revealed that it took them about three to four years to record their latest album dubbed “Back 2 Basics”.

According to Omar Sterling, the songs on the album have been in existence for three to four years now but it took them a very long time to agree on releasing them on air.

Speaking in an interview on Hitz FM’s Daybreak Hitz with Andy Dosty, Omar Sterling stated that they decided to release their latest album over a month ago just after they returned from the United States.

He revealed that they have been recording songs in the past years and when it is time for them to release, they only go back and select the songs they want for them to be mastered and produced.

In other news, Ghanaian rapper, Emmanuel Kwesi Danso Arthur Junior, well known as Kwesi Arthur has revealed that his colleague, King Promise has paved the way for Ghanaian musicians to perform at the O2 Arena.

King Promise recently thrilled audience at the O2 Arena with an electrifying performance. He perfornd alongside the Nigerian Afrobeat maestro, Wizkid at his “Made In Lagos” tour in London, UK.

Speaking in an interview, Kwesi Arthur lauded King Promise, saying that seeing him perform before the huge crowd was a massive one for him, but he could imagine the great feeling King Promise had while performing on stage at the Arena.
