Sonia Ighalo, the well-known national footballer’s wife, criticizes internet users for celebrating the attempted murder of a pastor, Apostle Suleman.
On Thursday, October 21st, an attack on the preacher’s convoy resulted in the loss of seven lives.
The attempted assassination sparked a variety of responses online, including excitement about the event.
Sonia Ighalo blasted Nigerians for being callous and full of resentment toward their own people in response to the calamity that happened.
“Nigerians are wicked!!
This man was in the car with his family.. 7 people lost their lives.. Y’all jubilating. where is thy humanity for christ sake! Are we now encouraging assassination?” she wrote.
Sonia continued, “Nobody is talking of why he is being pursued…
Y’all more concerned that he is man of God moving with escorts/ bulletproof car.
Trump was right anyway… Naija is a Shithole country.”
Meanwhile, The General Overseer of Omega Fire Ministries, Apostle Johnson Suleman addressed the attack.
Apostle Johnson Suleman acknowledged that his convoy was attacked in videos posted on the social media pages of his church. He disclosed that seven individuals, including police officers, had died.
The cleric went on to say that he was in the car during the incident with his wife and kids and that he knows who was responsible.
In addition to stating that he won’t be naming individuals responsible for the attack, Apostle Suleman urged those planning the assassination should consider giving up because he is a Man of God and cannot be murdered.
He said in a video that was shared on his Instagram page;
“I just escaped an assassination attempt where seven people were killed. They opened fire on my car. My wife and my kids were there. The escort car with police, they killed the policemen. They killed the other people in the escort car, the bus, that were with us. They killed seven people.
“People who did this are expecting me to come out and mention their names, so they can come out and deny it but I won’t do that. The truth of the matter is, you can’t kill me, my life is in the hand of God, I’m a man of God.”
