South Africa’s luckiest couple Mr. & Mrs. Mkansi who became popular few months ago on the internet for what was considered to be the worlds most weirdest marriage proposal at KFC.
They married on December 31st in a grand fashion and style.
The married couples still can’t wrap their heads around their wedding. The love & support shown them was unbelievable. The two had an all expense paid wedding from popular brands in South Africa, musicians and other well wishers around the world.
“We are still in disbelief, both of us have to ask each other if this is really happening from time to time. We couldn’t be more grateful to God and every single person that has shared in our little love story,” said Mkansi during an interview.
Hector Mkansi was spotted on his knees proposing to Nonhlanhla Soldaat who couldn’t look on because she wasn’t expecting it.
The video was uploaded on twitter where most twitter users bashed him ( Hector ) for proposing to his lover at a KFC. Some described him as not being civilized, broke and too local for the act.
While the video went viral, KFC came to save the day. They asked the public to help them identify the couple as they would want to give the two a dream KFC wedding.
This came as an absolute shocker when other companies like Audi, Lexus, airline companies, fashion houses, beauticians and more trooped in to treat the couple with their services for free. Standard Bank SA in particular promised to offset both their loans.
“We didn’t want to steal the happy couple’s shine but since some of you have asked, we’d like to offer them a clean slate. Over & above imvula mlomo, we’ll clear their personal loans up to R300k & if they’re with us we’ll clear it all! No need for skoloto!” they wrote.
