Tosyn Buknor is a popular Nigerian actress and media personality who died on November 19, 2018 due to sickle cell complications. She died at 37.

Reports suggest that sickle cell patients do not live long but there a few who live up to 90 years and beyond. The oldest sickle cell patient in Nigeria, Ashata Onikoyi-Laguda died at 95.
