Heavyweight Nigerian rap artiste and entertainer, Jude Lemfani Abaga, better known by his stage name as M.I Abaga is having a good run with his 6th album.

The iconic Nigerian rapper and performing artiste, M.I Abaga now known as The Guy on Friday, August 19, 2022 released his hugely anticipated self titled studio album captioned; “The Guy”.

Following the successful release of the twelve-tracked star-studded body of work, fans and music lovers have shown their appreciation for the rapper’s album as it currently sits at the number one position on the charts in Nigeria.

‘The Guy’ Album features Ice Prince, Jesse Jagz, BNXN, Tomi Owo, Chillz, Phyno, The Cavemen, Wande Coal, Duncan Mighty, Olamide and highly rated American rapper, Nas. The album after a day of its release holds the number one position on the Apple Music Top Album Chart in Nigeria.

MEANWHILE: Global music streaming platform, Spotify on, Friday, August 19, 2022 released a list detailing the most streamed Nigerian songs ever on their streaming app.

The music platform which happens to one of Africa’s favorites streaming platform projects and sells African music to the rest of the world. The list reaffirms the reach and greatness of some of our favourite Afrobeats smash hits.

The liste saw Wizkid, CKay and Burna Boy made recurring appearances. Ckay leads the liste with his global banger, ‘Love Nwantiti’ at 537 million streams while the remix holds the second position with 427 million streams.

Burna Boy’s ‘On The Low’ holds the third position with 169 million streams, and Fireboy DML’s ‘Peru’ being the next song with 167 million streams. Other songs on the liste includes, Wizkid’s ‘Essence’, Ckay’s ‘Emiliana’, Burna Boy’s ‘Ye’, Maleek Berry’s ‘Kontrol’. Below is the full list.
