Babes Wodumo’s mother in law is not a happy woman. In a heated video, Mampintsha’s mother made shocking revelations about the Simelanes after not being invited to her son’s traditional wedding.
As interpreted by Zalebs, Shimora’s mother starts off the video by saying she is the ‘real’ Durban muso’s mother who has been kicked to the curb, putting all the blame on Babes, real name Bongekile Simelane. She claims that it is Babes who told them to not set foot at their wedding venue. Confused by this bizarre request, she asks how can there be a wedding when she is not invited.
She then attacks Showmax, saying they are apparently sell outs because she was a part of their upcoming reality show, Uthando Lodumo. But after the shooting has been concluded, she claims they have not gotten back to her with regards to payment.
Another shocker is that she claims Babes is faking her pregnancy. Attacking her daughter-in-law, she tells her to throw away the sponge she uses to disguise as a growing belly because she is not pregnant.
“Why are they [Showmax] being ruled by Babes? Who is Babes because she is desperate for marriage with a non-existent pregnancy. She must give birth already, and stop using sponges. I am waiting for my twins that she promised to give birth to,” she says.
In response to the video, Babes Wodumo claims that her husband and mother-in-law’s relationship has been nothing but toxic over the years. So she, as his wife, chooses to love her from a distance.
“Over the years I have been silent about Mampintsha’s relationship with his mum. This was due to the fact that I love and respect my husband for who he is regardless of the toxic words his mum has said over the years about our relationship.
“Mampintsha’s mother was well informed about the wedding and I did everything I was obligated to do as a wife…I chose to love his mother from a distance so they can sort out their differences as mother and son,” she wrote.
