An intriguing story has been shared on Twitter detailing how a man who got lost for a couple of years and was subsequently declared dead was later found locked up in a prison in Nigeria.
The Twitter user who divulged this punched holes in the flaws in Nigeria’s system as he revealed how this unnamed man, who stepped out to buy Suya- a local delicacy made from assorted meat disappeared all of a sudden. After years of not knowing his whereabouts, his family officially declared dead with funeral rites observed for him.
However, 5-years after his incarceration (which was what actually happened), a certain church on outreach visited the prison where he was and he wrote his aunt’s phone number, gave it to them, and pleaded with them to call her and inform her that he’s in prison.

After getting him out prison, the wrongly imprisoned ex-convict revealed he got picked by some policemen who raided their street on a massive arrest after a crime had been committed in the area that night.
