May Yul Edochie, the wife of Nollywood actor Yul Edochie, has received backlash on social media over her anniversary letter to Pete Edochie and his wife.
May Edochie celebrated the couple’s day by posting a beautiful picture of them together along with a thank-you note to God for giving them life.
May hoped that God would give them both serenity and strength. She wrote;
“Pls fam joined me to celebrate the great @peteedochie and his adorable wife. We are grateful to the Almighty for the gift of life. 53 years and counting! May God continue to strengthen you both and give you peace”.
Reacting to this, many people were upset with May because she didn’t refer to the pair as her in-laws because of the conflict between her and her husband, Yul Edochie.
Many people thought it offensive that the mother of four referred to Pete Edochie as “the great.”
Many others expressed their disappointment, saying that the actress ought to have accepted them as her in-laws for the sake of tradition.
