Mercy Eke's Mum Says Imo State Is Not Safe, Wants To Live With Her Daughter In Lagos Instead

Big Brother Naija reality show star Mercy Eke has revealed she received a heartbreaking call from her mother saying she’s coming to live with her.

The 2019 BBNaija winner revealed her mother called her very early in the morning telling her she’s about coming to her place to live with her in Lagos as Imo State is not safe because constant attacks and killings in the region.

Mercy stated she was brokenhearted after hearing that from her mother and to see her mother move from her root to settle at a different place because of the insecurity in that part of the country and some places else where.

Mercy Eke was born and bread in Imo State. She attended the Egbu Girls Secondary School in Owerri and also graduated from Imo State University in 2014 so one will understand the heart broken moment she will have hearing that from her mother who stays in the region.

Imo State is one of those States that has been under constant attacks from gunmen over the past few weeks and part of the States the US and Canadian government has issued a ‘visit’ threat on. The level of kidnapping, robbery, attacks, killings, crimes etc is really on a rise in the State.

Reports indicates there’s at least one fresh attack each day in various parts of the state. Recently some unknown gunmen attacked the home of the Governor of the State, Hope Uzodinma.
