Some social media users have distastefully reacted to what they would classify as a total disrespect demonstrated by the Nigerian singer, Teni towards the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Buhari.

This was after Teni was called at an event to receive a national award presented to her by President Buhari. Teni after receiving the award walked out on the president and did not even express any sign of gratification towards the president.
She was spotted in a video widely shared on social media walking out on the president as many conclude that she did not show any sign of humility and respect towards the president.
Social media users called her out on social media for showing such disrespect towards the president. Some claim that it was inappropriate for her to have walked out on the president after receiving her award.
Others also berated her for not being civilized and putting her petty sentiments about the president’s governance aside and showing respect for him after presenting the award to her.
Some also commended her for doing that since the majority of Nigerians have consistently berated the Buhari-led government over their incompetence and ill-governance.
