A Nigerian woman accused her 2-year-old daughter of being an ‘ashawo’ after the little girl was raped by an elderly man.
The mother is said to have beaten her daughter to the extent of inflicting an injury on her eye.
Giving an account of what happened, a shoe vendor revealed that the mother caught her daughter with the neighbor sleeping with him, hence her reason for beating the child.
When she was asked why she would beat the girl and accused her of prostitution she said the little did not stop running back to the man.
