Although music doesn’t involve violence, some Nigerian musicians have in one way or the other found themselves in prison.
Most of these musicians were very ignorant of their said crimes and in this article we will be reading about these musicians.
#1 Naira Marley
Naira Marley was arrested sometime ago by the EFCC over fraud charges. He was given 11-count charges and after spending 4 weeks in prison, he was then granted a N2 million bail with two sureties. He also revealed that he was arrested 124 time whiles in the United Kingdom.
#2 Skales
Skales also bagged a prison sentence after he was charged with fraud. He was charged together with his manager, Osagie for defrauding his record label.
#3 Godwon
Godwon was also jailed after he was confirmed to have been involving in a robbery in the United States of America. Some items from the house was seen in his car and he was subsequently given a three-year jail term.
#4 Sinzu
Just like Godwon, Sinzu was also arrested in the United States of America. He was given a two-year jail sentence for aggravated identity theft.
#5 Dammy Krane
He was arrested after he was found guilty of theft, fraud and credit card scam. However, he pleaded not guilty in court as he demanded a trial by jury. Later, his charges were struck out.
