A Nigerian blogger has gone in hard on a pastor who asked his congregants to send money, offertory and other of exploitative mechanism to the church during this period that some churches in Africa who have shut down because of coronavirus.

As a matter of fact, several pastors in Ghana and Nigeria have employed electronic way of asking members to part away with their money in the form of tithes and offertory since the ban was imposed on social gatherings to curb coronavirus.

On this note, Port-Harcourt based blogger Richard Idasenibo Chigbo singled out Rev. Alex Uzor of Christ Anglican Emudo Nenwe for criticism after he asked social media users to pay their tithes online.

He wrote:

This Christ Anglican Church Emudo Nenwe Pastor/Rev Father is a thief and need to be arrested asap. I can’t believe someone can be this insensitive and heartless. The whole world is bleeding right now, fighting the COVID19 and some pulpit bandit wanna take advantage of it. The FG temporarily banned every social gathering, and all this thief could do is this.
