Senator Shehu Sani congratulated netizens who have linked their SIM to the Nigerian Identification Number which is currently ongoing.
According to him, the numbers that have registered and linked their SIM cards so far per previous demographic records are on the increase.

He continued that, there is under estimation of Nigerian population as at now since more people are still yet ready to resgister.
Moreover, the number represent people who are currently using phone leaving out children and some old age that are no using any phone.
This means an underestimation of Nigerian population.
In a tweet, he said
If actually 175 million SIM are now linked to NIN according to official figures then Nigeria’s population may be much higher than estimated.
