Mike Ekunno, a Nigerian father, has posted a letter he wrote to the Federal Government College in Abuja in response to his son’s constant bullying.

Following the recent murder of Dowen colleague student Sylvester Oromoni, who was allegedly attacked by classmates, Ekunno described what he went through as a dad in 2018.

He shared a letter he wrote to the school administrator in 2018 telling them of his son’s bullying by some SS2 pupils since his admission.

Ekunno stated that his son’s relocation was vital to protect his survival. He st ated that he had taken the boy out of the classroom without allowing him to take his promotion exam.

”Copy of my letter to the school authority over the bullying of my son. I finally had to withdraw him without sitting for his promotional exam to keep him alive.”

The letter he wrote in 2018 reads in part

“My son, Ifesinachi, 10, is an intelligent is a bold and a free-spirited boy. His mother and I are shocked at the transformation of his personality since enrolling in your school at the start of this academic session. He has suddenly turned timorous, scared and fidgety, apart from losing about 10kg from his entry level of 50kg…”

In other news, the death of Sylvester Oromoni, a 12-year-old pupil of Dowen College in Lekki, Lagos, is yet to be investigated by the Lagos State Police Command.

Today, December 6, the school administration will receive an official letter of invitation.

No arrests have been made, according to CSP Adekunle Ajisebutu, the state police command’s spokesperson.

“For now, and to the best of my knowledge, no arrest has been made, but investigation is ongoing.”Ajisebutu said

Ajisebutu said the command has initiated an investigation into the death of Sylvester Oromoni in a statement released on Saturday. Despite the fact that the case had not been officially reported to the Force, he stated they had begun an investigation.
