The current mishappenings in Nigeria have left the citizens devastated, they have lost trust, hope and everything in Nigeria ever being great again. To them, there is no sign of greatness since the leaders have chosen to turn a blind eye to the cry of the people.

Eedris had the world’s attention when he released the song in 2004. ‘Jaga Jaga’ is a Yoruba term for shambles, declaring Nigeria as a country in shambles because of the corrupt practices by the leaders and people in higher places.

The then-president, Olusegun Obasanjo banned the song due to the lyrics which he found belittling. With the recent happenings, Eedris took to Twitter to quiz Nigerians if the song he did back then was right or wrong.

The replies were overwhelming as most of them found nothing wrong with the song. “As a matter of fact, the song tells the story of whatever is happening today,” a fan said.
