In a sad report, a nursing mother has been apprehended for killing a lady.
The mother who has two children is known as Anita Harrison and he allegedly killed the lady as she run over her with her car.
After knowing she has killed someone, she took the corpse to a dump site instead of taking it to the police station as advised by medical personnel.
The report, according to the Crime Guard revealed that the incident occurred on March 4, 2021.
Narrating what happened, the nursing mother said;
“A friend called me that she wanted to introduce me to a business. I went to meet her at Computer Village, Ikeja. On my way back, I gave her a ride. On reaching under the Ikeja Bridge, inward Agege, I didn’t know what happened.
I didn’t see anyone crossing the road, neither did I see myself ramming into anyone. I had driven past a woman when I heard people shouting. I don’t know if the tyre of the car climbed her or whether the car was close to her. It was the shout of people that made me stop.”
The nursing mother then stated that she was advised to rush the victim to the hospital and she did, however, the victim was confirmed dead when they got there.
The report further stated that she was advised to take the corpse to the police station to report the matter, from where she would be accompanied by policemen to deposit the corpse in the morgue.
However, she didn’t take the said advice to take the corpse to the police station as she drove to a secluded location with a friend after the long bridge on the Lagos/Ibadan expressway and dumped the corpse, close to a dump site.
The deceased family also became worried when they couldn’t locate the whereabouts of the deceased and they also reported the matter to the police.
The police then conducted a routine search around hospitals, morgues, and other places and eventually got to the hospital where she was deposited and that’s how they were able to trace Anita Harrison.
The nursing mother who is an Akwa-Ibom State indigene has stated that she regrets her decision of dumping the corpse in an isolated place.
“I don’t want to go to jail. I have two children. The first is two years and the second is just seven months old. Unfortunately, the woman that advised me to dump the corpse can’t be reached on phone,” she said.
