There have been mixed feelings on social media after popular Nigerian artist Wizkid lost all two nominations for Grammys.
In the late hours of yesterday, the Grammy Awards took place where awards were given to deserving artists. However, Nigerians have reacted differently to the piece of news.

Wizkid, the Nigerian Afrobeat Star’s album Made In Lagos was nominated for Best Global Music Album at the 64th Grammy Award show. He faces competition from Femi Kuti and Made Kuti’s Legacy +, Angelique Kidjo’s Mother Nature, and Rocky Dawumi’s Voice of Bunbon Volume I.
However, he lost all two nominations yesterday after the event. After his defeat, some Nigerians attacks Grammys for choosing Angelique Kidjo’s ‘Mother Nature’ over Wizkid’s track “Essence”.
While some tackled the board of Grammys, some hard die fans took to social media to troll Wizkid. One of Davido’s fans shared a video where he was seen asking “essence of what, the essence of nonsense. Obo for life. I am dancing to Wizkid FC failure, Wizkid could not win grammy but Davido went to World Cup”, he said in his video.
