Gospel Contemporary Singer Ohemaa Mercy has advised that upcoming musicians shouldn’t concentrate on making money instead of growing their careers.

She noted that the blessings and wealth only comes from the message that impact the lives of people.

In an interview with JoyPrime observed by Ghgossip.com, Ohemaa Mercy wrote;

“If you are into coming to the industry, money should not be the focus. The most important thing is to have a message that will impart on the lives of people. That is where the blessings come from”.

She added that “mostly I get so many blessings from the testimonies that have come out of my ministry and somebody will see you, buy a car for you and give you a house”.

“Blessings come when you allow God to be at the centre and leader, then He will course men to bless you”, she advised

In other news, Ohemaa Mercy disclosed that highlife singer Kwabena Kwabena helped her write her latest gospel track “Ote me mu”.

Ohemaa Mercy’s “Ote me mu” won the best Gospel song of the year’ in the category for this year’s Vodafone Ghana Music Award 2023.

According to the gospel artist, she got the inspiration to write her song during a prayer session when she was interceding for Ghana during the pandemic era. However, in the middle of the prayer session, the voice of the Lord told her “He lives in me” which translated into the twi language as ‘Ote me mu”.

“I think during the COVID time I was so shaky when people were being thrown into pits. I started praying and a voice told me I live in you. In your DNA and so far as I live in you nothing can affect you and your household. So I had that kind of encouragement”. Ohemaa Mercy narrated her story on JoyPrime in an interview.

“So I called my brother Kwabena Kwabena and for him, God has given him so much wisdom when it comes to writing of songs and arrangement. By the grace of God, Kwabena Kwabena helped me to come out with this beautiful tune. And I want to thank him a lot”, she added.
