The Ooni of Ife’s purported lover, Abike Jagaban, has released a public service announcement.
At a recent function, the Yeye Bewaji of Itori caught everyone’s attention when she arrived in luxury with the Ooni’s staff.
Social media erupted over this, with many criticizing the monarch for showing disrespect to his employees.
Many people have been referring to her as the upcoming queen of Ife since the incident. Abike addressed the public with a message that appears to be in response to the controversy.
She declared that she does not want to be referred to as a “Queen in waiting” on Instagram, but rather as her parents christened her.
On the other hand, she said that the name and title could be altered in the future.
