Raving Nigerian recording and performing artiste, Divine Ikubor, known within the showbiz circles as Rema is having a good run with his recent output.

On Thursday, August 25, 2022, the Mavin Records superstar, Rema linked up with well-known American songstress and actress, Selena Gomez to serve the music community with the remix to his chart topping tune, ‘Calm Down’

The ‘Raves and Roses’ honcho has has bagged yet another global career milestone with the masterpiece as the jam has debuted on the Billboard Hot 100 Music Chart serving as Rema’s first entry on the charts.

The tune within first week of its release peaked at the number one position on Billboard US Afrobeats Song Chart. ‘Calm Down Remix’ debuted on the Billboard Hot 100 chart at number 91. This was made known on the bird app via Billboard Charts’ official Twitter page.

Rema’s ‘Calm Down Remix’ was shortly followed up with an official music video. The video also set a new record by becoming the Nigerian music video to gross the highest view count in a day with 3.2 million views.

MEANWHILE: Popular music streaming and download service, Boomplay has released the list of weekly top most streamed artists for the first week of September.

The music platform which happens to one of Africa’s favorites streaming platform projects and sells African music to the rest of the world. The platform has released the most streamed act from Friday, September 2 to Thrsday, 8th Septemeber, 2022.
