The best Takoradi based group, Aya who have won the Best Group since the inception of the award in 2016 couldn’t retain their award this year. It was rather unfortunate to them that they lost to Takoradi born but Accra based group, Dope Nation who recently signed under Lynx Entertainment. The ‘Continental’ hit makers really did great under the year in review and even released ‘Nana Yaa’ which features 2 times VGMA song writer of the year Kofi Kinaata. They are set to release the visuals for ‘Nana Yaa’ soon.
04. Willis Beatz
Music Producer, William Osafo known in showbiz as Willis Beatz couldn’t get a hat-trick in the WMA history. It was rather unfortunate that the producer who has produced quite a number of nationwide hits for top arts including Shatta Wale, MzVee, Kofi Kinaata,Kidi, Ayesem, etc couldn’t retain his spot as the best music producer in the region.
