SARK Effect: Sarkodie KNOCKS Off Shatta Wale From Top Of iTunes Chart (+Screenshot)

The tug of war between two former friends-turned-enemies Shatta Wale and Sarkodie has taken a new dimension, musically.

There’s no gainsaying that the duo are two of Ghana’s biggest artistes (well you could add Stonebwoy) and when the center of the friendship could no longer hold owing to Wale’s incessant attacks on mainstream artistes including Sarkodie, many observers argued that this development won’t augur well for the industry.

Well moment after Shatta Wale’s Reign album started making waves on Billboard, a jealous Sarkodie (that’s how social media users labeled him) decided to promote his ‘Highest’ album which released Sept. 2017 on social media once again.

Although his move was widely condemned by several social media users, a defiant Sarkodie paid no attention to anyone and went about with his promotion.

Instantly, the song knocked off Wale’s Reign album form the number 1 spot which means fans of the iconic rapper have started making online purchases again.

As at press time, Sarkodie’s ‘Highest’ album is at number 1 on iTunes Chart followed by Shatta Wale’s Reign.

This could spark another debate on social media as to who has the bragging right now.
