Per what we have gathered, all secondary schools in Kaduna will resume academic work on February 1.

This was made known by the state government after they arrived at the decision. Before they arrived at such decisions, there was an extensive appraisal of the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic.⁣

The government’s decision was conveyed by Mrs. Phoebe Yayi who is the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Education.⁣

She shared this in a recent statement she sent to all media men clarifying that only Junior Secondary School 1 (JSS 1), JSS 3 and Senior Secondary School 3 (SS 3) were to open.⁣

Schools across Nigeria were closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. As we speak, the country is really having a difficult time trying to contain the virus.

Over 1,000 cases are recorded everyday with the total number of cases in Nigerian now being over 128,000.
