Veteran Nigerian actress, Genevieve Nnaji, has openly corrected international television network CNN over an article they published on Twitter pertaining to the recent massacre in Lekki Toll Gate, Nigeria.
In the article published by CNN, it stated,
“Clashes between protesters and law enforcement agents in Lagos turned bloody on Tuesday, despite a state-wide curfew, with eyewitnesses telling CNN that multiple demonstrators have been shot by soldiers”
Genevieve Nnaji, however, was not happy over how the incident was described by CNN and has prompted them to make the correction as a matter of urgency.
She commented;
“Correct this immediately. It was an ambush! A massacre! A bloody genocide! #EndSARS“
