Shatta Wale has often cited the late enigmatic musician and performer, Terry Bonchaka as one of his greatest influence.
Taking to social media to reinforced this belief, the Gringo hitmaker said his Shatta Movement is doing exactly what the late star has envisaged for the industry before the icy hands of death embraced him to its bosom.
Shatta Wale has made it a point to commemorate Bonchaka’s death every year since he died 15-years ago.
He wrote:
“15yrs now and I still hold you in high esteem.. Thank you for the guidance and the empire is doing what you asked .. it’s 4LYF like I told you from Day 1.. Bonchaka Liveth”.
Terry Bonckaka, the hottest Ragga/Dancehall musician at the time, died instantly in a motor accident moments after putting up an electrifying performance at the Legon campus in October 2003.
May his soul continue to rest in peace.
