Multiple award-winning artiste, Shatta Wale has revealed in a new interview the ‘real’ meaning behind his name.
Shatta Wale actually started as a rapper when he first announced his presence in the music industry almost two decades ago with the stage name ‘Bandana.’
Unfortunately, the stiff competition in the industry stifled him out and this forced him to take a long break only to surface five years ago to take Ghana music by storm with his new brand.
The controversial artiste has gone to win several local and international awards when he returned as ‘Shatta Wale’.
Speaking to Joy FM in a fresh interview since his record-breaking Reign album launch, the Zylofon signed artiste said he coined the name “Shatta” due to how serious he is in everything he does whilst ‘Wale’ is an acronym for “World Alert Lyrical Entertainer”.
