Tiwa Savage, a singer, is jubilant after receiving an honorary doctorate from the University of Kent in the United Kingdom.

She was photographed with her family as they posed for photos together to celebrate her recent success.

Tiwa graduated from the University of Kent with a degree in business administration before being awarded a scholarship to study professional music at the Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts, in the United States.

The musician is one of ten outstanding people who will receive honorary degrees from the University of Kent during its congregation ceremonies at the cathedrals of Canterbury and Rochester, according to the university.

The ceremony is set to place in Rochester on July 20 and in Canterbury from July 11 to 15.

In a statement, the institution said that on July 15 in Canterbury, Tiwa “will be made Doctor of Music in honour of her remarkable and international career in music.”
