The total number of deaths due to COVID-19 in South Africa have surpassed 21,000. 2,493 new COVID-19 cases recorded in the last 24 hours by the health department.

The death toll now stands at 21,083 after 115 more people died of COVID-19.
The total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases is 772,252 as recoveries now stand at 716,444 which translates to a recovery rate of 92.8-percent.
