Popular Yoruba activist, Sunday Adeyemo fondly called Sunday Igboho is seeking a new passport to leave the country according to the Federal Government.
It went on to say that the government had put Igboho on a no-fly list in order to make his apprehension easier, and that security forces had been ordered to apprehend him wherever he was discovered.
A person whose name is on the stop-list is denied all constitutional rights and privileges that a citizen is entitled to in the security circle.
A letter from the Nigeria Immigration Service dated July 9, 2021, sent to the Director General, Department of State Services, the Inspector General of Police, and the DG, National Intelligence Agency, included the Federal Government’s directive against Igboho.

The activist, a leader of the Yoruba Nation’s separatist movement, was pronounced wanted by the Department of State Services on suspicion of hoarding weaponry to destabilize the country, which he has denied, but his whereabouts are unclear.
Since a midnight raid by the secret police on July 1 ahead of a big protest in support of the call for Yoruba Nation in Lagos, the whereabouts of Igboho, a leading figure in the separatist campaign for the Yoruba Nation, have been unknown.
The DSS arrested and jailed 13 of Igboho’s colleagues, claiming that it had murdered two of Igboho’s supporters, later identified as Adogan and Alfa, during a “gun duel” following the bloody raid on Igboho’s Sooka residence.
